JZX100: A Dream

The JZX100 Mark II will always be a car with a special place in my heart, from its luxurious design that fits many aesthetics to the unexpected power from the 1JZ-GE engine roaring at the front. This car in particular has me speechless…but that wouldn’t make for a good read so let’s talk about why.

The first thing I noticed about this car was that it was on a shiny set of Work Equip 05 wheels that stood out a lot. No matter which angle I stood at the reflective silvers on this car added a dreamy ethereal effect to the car.

The subtle blue midtone in the chrome really adds to the dreamy aesthetic that I get from this car. Not to mention those fender vents that give the JZX100 a more sporty look.

Of course, when discussing these sporty Japanese luxury sedans, it would be a disservice not to talk about their drifting capabilities. The owner of this Mark II mentioned that he takes it drifting occasionally as well. I would’ve never guessed judging from the absolute pristine condition it was in at the event.

Seeing clips of the JZX100 Mark II and Chaser drifting was the initial moment where I was captivated. The simple design of their exteriors coupled with the aggression shown when they were sliding around really drove home the fact that there’s nothing comparable.

Overall, I’m glad to have seen this car in person, it’s the third of three Mark IIs that I have been able to see in person. Each time I encounter one I light up like a Christmas tree. To me, that’s what it’s all about.
